This fancy fold is actually very simple to do.
Fold your card in half to create a standard card base. Measure halfway down the front of the card and cut the top half away to create a “gate”. Glue some strips of DSP to a layer of Whisper White, spacing them equally. The easiest way to do this is to stick the first and third strips first, then place the middle one in between. Glue this layer inside the card.
Glue some smaller DSP strips/squares to a smaller Whisper White layer. Don’t glue this down until after you’ve stuck on the sentiment. Stamp the sentiment on to Whisper White and punch out. I used the stamps from Poinsettia Petals and Real Red/Soft Suede ink. I used the Label me Fancy punch.
Stick your sentiment onto the small Real Red/Soft Suede cardstock. Punch out a hole for the ribbon at either side.
TOP TIP: make a small pencil line at the centre of the cardstock where you want the hole to be, and line this mark up to the punch, turning it upside down so you can see it easily. If you line this mark up with the centre of the hole, you’ll get the hole exactly where you want it to be.
Thread the ribbon through the holes and tape at the back. I used double-sided tear tape, and then used the same piece of tape to glue the sentiment to the front of the DSP layer. Wrap the ends of the ribbon around the back of the layer, and then stick the whole panel to the front “gate” portion of the card.
