This is a classic “toofer” card – two for the price of one!  The Glimmer strip provides the letters for one design and the negative for another.  And because the Glimmer paper has such a range of colours, you can make 2 of the same design in different shades from one small strip.  Come back on Monday to see the cards made with the negative (as well as a top tip for keeping your dies straight).

To make these cards, I used the Whisper White notelets.  I cut a strip off the bottom to make space for the window, and used a small piece of the strip along the bottom of the card for sturdiness.  A piece of Window sheet was stuck to the inside of the card, and the small strip glued to the bottom.  I cut the word “BIRTHDAY” using the Playful Alphabet dies, making sure to use adhesive sheets on the back of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper before I started!  The adhesive sheets made it so easy to stick the letters to the window, and kept the back/inside nice and tidy too.  I also trimmed a piece of the Rainbow Glimmer Paper to go along the bottom of the card, and finished off with a die-cut “happy” from the Well Written dies in Basic Black, and some Artistry Bloom sequins in colours that complement the glimmer paper beautifully.
