Did you all have a lovely weekend?  I certainly did!  You’ll remember on Friday I was making a card for the wedding I was going to, well now I can show you the gift I made for them.  This is a piece of artwork showing their names and the date of the wedding.  I decided to go for silver and gold as the theme as I didn’t know what colours feature in their house, and metallics go with anything, don’t they?!

I had a 12×12 canvas which I used as the base, then covered it with a sheet of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut speciality paper.  The flowers are just so delicate, I really love it!  One side is Very Vanilla and the other is Whisper White, so it works perfectly no matter what colours your project uses.  Here I went for the vanilla side, then made a frame using a sheet of silver Glimmer paper.  I don’t have a heart framelit that’s big enough, so I drew the shape by hand and cut it out with a craft knife.  Finally the letters were cut out of gold Foil sheets using some retired letter framelits that I had stashed away.

Here’s the completed project.  I hope they like it.

Happy crafting! x
