I’m really pleased with my latest creation! When Stampin’ Up! changed the design of their ink pad, I knew I wanted to find a new storage solution. The new-style pads still fit loosely in the carousel, but I don’t really have space for it on my desk any more, and I wanted to keep the inks close to hand. There are some amazing ink pad storage units that you can buy online, but given our recent house move I don’t really have the budget for anything too fancy, so I decided to just make something myself!
I had some foam board from years ago that I found when we moved, so I spent a fun afternoon cutting and sticking together and this is what I came up with. Do you like it? I used a craft knife to cut the foam board to the sizes I wanted, then stuck it together using Tear Tape, and pushed dressmakers pins in to the joins to make it even more secure. The whole thing sits into one of the openings in my Kallax/Expedit unit right beside my desk, so I can easily reach for the colour I need.
That’s all for today. Happy crafting!
