Last weekend I held a team event with my awesome Stampin’ Starlets to show them my new home. It was fabulous catching up with them as it’s been a while since I’ve seen many of them. One of my friends couldn’t make it as she ended up unexpectedly in hospital, and she was much missed by the whole group. To show her how much we love and miss her, I suggested that we all make a mini card and write a little note of encouragement inside. We had great fun making 3″x3″ cards, using the “Thinking of You” sentiment from Rooted in Nature, decorated with flowers and leaves from the “Happy Birthday Gorgeous” set. I set up the Stamparatus which made it a breeze to make multiple cards quickly and easily. (Some of my oh-so-talented ladies designed their own card, of course!)
You can get 3 cards from an A4 sheet when your card bases as 3″x6″, which when folded makes a lovely square card that fits perfectly in the mini envelopes. Finally I used the “Flourishing Phrases” and “Label me Pretty” sets to make a topper for one of the Stampin’ Up! pizza boxes, plus some of the gorgeous Petal Promenade DSP and coordinating Pear Pizzazz shimmer ribbon to finish off the little box to keep all the cards together. When I visited her on Monday, she loved her little box of cards and I hope her day was brightened by our messages.
