Craft room renovations

I'm so excited to be able to announce this!  I've got a date for my Grand Reopening of my craft room, and you're all invited! I'm hosting an open house from 10am-2pm on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May, where you can come and see my new happy place. I'm combining this with the launch of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Book 2025-26, so come and see new goodies demonstrated, and have a play with the latest products. This was one of our more unusual plans for the craft room furniture.  I knew I wanted a Kallax wall, with lots of cubbies full of crafty goodies.  You've already seen the posts about the Creations by Rod units, designed especially for Kallax units from Ikea.  So armed with a trusty tape-measure and the Ikea online catalogue, I started working out the best way to achieve my dream. My gorgeous new/old fireplace is here!  The experts at Glasgow Architectural Salvage did an amazing job restoring it, and here you can see the builders holding it in place where it will go in the craft room.  Below are the photos of what was originally in that space, and then the photo of the fire before restoration, so you can see how much work has gone in to making it so beautiful.  It's had a basket added to the front, and the metalwork restored and blackened.  I can't wait for it to be fully installed! The alcoves are now built and the plasterer and his crew have done some incredible work!  Everything is smooth and pink and now needs time to dry before painting.  There's other work going on elsewhere in the house, so this room is on pause while it dries.
