I’ve spent a long time planning what my dream craft room will look like.  I’ve scoured Pinterest and YouTube, and I’ve looked at many of my lovely Stampin’ Up! demonstrator friends too.  One of the common themes seems to be Ikea furniture, which I’m sure comes as no surprise.  I already had a Kallax unit and some Billy bookcases, but now I plan to have a full wall of Kallax units with the cubby holes perfectly stuffed with crafty goodness.

In the UK there is a fabulous supplier called Creations by Rod who makes units designed for Kallax and specially tailored to crafter’s needs.  I decided that I needed to splurge on his units, and they’ve now arrived. Check out his website here (and no I’m not on commission, I wish I was!)

They are made from sturdy MDF and look perfectly fine as is, but I took inspiration from the lovely Mikaela Titherage and chose to paint my units white.  Tom and I laid them out in the garden, and both went at it with white spray paint.  A few thin layers on each, and the sunshine made short work of drying them beautifully.  Now I just have to wait until my room is finished, so I can build the Ikea furniture and start loading it with all my crafty supplies!
