I am so excited about my new floor!  I know it sounds like such a daft thing, but I am totally in love with it.  You can clearly see where the old boards stop and the slightly newer (but still reclaimed wood) boards start, but for me this just tells the story of the room and it’s journey.  I decided to go for a clear varnish rather than a stain, and the eagle-eyed amongst you will spot the floor port with plugs (which should make things like heat embossing so much easier!).  It should be hard-wearing, durable, and most importantly wipe clean, so we can be as messy as we like and not worry about stains or damage.

What do you think?  Are you team floorboards or team carpet?  I think both have their place in a home, but for my dream craft room I think floorboards are the perfect choice, and I’m so so happy with my new floor :)
