Craft room renovations

They say things get worse before they can get better, and that is certainly the case here!  Building work has begun with a vengeance, and it is NOT a tidy process!  The rest of the ceiling has come down, along with the fireplace wall.  The ceiling is made of Lath and plaster (and not latham plaster as I previously thought!). Renovations have started, and the first thing to go was the green carpet, which had served us well since we moved in 6 years ago.  My plan had been to put down underfloor heating, but when the carpet was lifted, we discovered this gorgeous hardwood floor, and of course my plans changed.  One of the things we love about this house is it's original features and the story they tell, and I knew this floor had to be brought back to life.  You'll see from the photos that it's been stained around a carpet or rug previously, and there [...]
